Root No. 1: Home (2014)

Home serves as the thread connecting objects together. Walls, windows, furniture, garments, and plants are ubiquitous in every home; yet the quality of each and their manner of coexistence distinguish one home from another. Despite its simplicity, home is often a scene bustling with events. In this series, I aimed to capture photos that would invite viewers to stare. Nevertheless, given the personal nature of the photographic subjects, it is unlikely that such a gaze will yield a definitive interpretation of specific concepts.  (Written by Roozbeh Maleki, Translator: Niki Shadloo)
