The outskirts of the northern cities of Iran are both tranquil and bustling. Such stillness can readily inspire photographers to pursue long-term landscape photography. It seems they have ample time for such a study. But if the subject of photography is still and easily accessible to the researchers, what additional possibilities does photography offer them? It could be contended that in this case, a photograph will be, merely, a reduction of the subject in the world. In this manner, it is anticipated that the qualities of the images in this series will be scrutinized in relation to their similarity to other images, rather than in comparison to their subjects.
