About
Roozbeh
Maleki, born in Iran in 1989, is a photography graduate student from Tehran University
of Art. In addition to photography, he has teaching experience in academic
spaces, including Tehran University of Art. his diverse body of work defies
clear categorization, encompassing subjects such as experimental lab setups and
vast landscapes. However, a clear boundary can be considered for them: almost
all of the photos are of stationary subjects and have references to the medium
of photography itself. Therefore, the inclusion of text alongside his works
plays a key role.
He has
participated in the exhibitions “Repetition” (Emrooz Gallery, 2018),
“ Small Image, Large Reflection” (AG Gallery,
2018), “Blind Windows: What does Mr. Soth exactly do?” (Solo, Silk
Road Gallery, 2023), and “Didar” (Didar Gallery, 2023). Additionally, he is a
founding member of the Publications Committee of Tavali, which focuses on
producing theoretical books on visual arts and artist books, especially photobooks.
